Series Overview:
In this short film, Assistant Head Charlotte MacKenzie speaks to parents Kerry Douse and Liz Chaplin, whose tube fed daughters both attend Southview School.
Watch both parents and their children’s teacher discuss how important community is within the school as well as on social media. They also talk about blended diets, feeding during class and how the school supports these children and their parents throughout their tube feeding journey.
This film is aimed at parents and carers of tube fed children and seeks to reinforce the importance of giving them the best care possible. Each tube feeding family has different requirements, but there is something that joins them together: no one stands alone. Everyone can teach/learn and inspire/be inspired by others.
